Cotton’s Cafe is a line of all-natural dog treats created by Janet McCarty in Oxford, Mississippi. She was looking to modernize her brand and scale her packaging to meet the demands of large retailers like Whole Foods and Hollywood Feed. I worked with the team at Mabus Agency to develop a new brand and packaging pitch.
This concept was ultimately not selected by the client. She absolutely hated it. Fortunately, I could repurpose much of this into the brand work for Queen’s Reward Meadery.

We presented two packaging concepts: resealable bags and hexagonal boxes, to reference the primary ingredient and main selling point, honey. Previously, Janet packaged her treats in kraft paper coffee bags and large clear plastic tubs adorned with individually tied ribbon bows. We wanted to move away from the homey aesthetic and into something that would look more professional.
